NYU students can now cram and jam for their finals.
The school’s Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music has named hip-hop producer Swizz Beatz — who married Alicia Keys earlier this year — as it’s first “producer in residence,” mentoring students who dream of a career in the music biz.
“Giving back to students is very important,” Beatz said yesterday. “You never know whose life you’re going to change.”
Swizz, 32, a Bronx native whose real name is Kasseem Dean, has worked with artists like DMX, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne.
His first lecture yesterday focused on branding oneself.
