Alexander McQueen has ’em beating down the doors at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which this year boasted its highest attendance in four decades.

The Met yesterday said nearly 5.7 million people visited in the fiscal year that ended June 30 — 400,000 more than the previous year.

“Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” which chronicles the work of the late designer, has drawn more than 500,000 fans since its May 4 opening.

Last year’s Picasso exhibit, which topped 703,000 visitors, also boosted ticket sales.
