The Met on Tuesday announced that French conductor Emmanuel Villaume will replace accused sex harasser James Levine for its New Year’s Eve production of “Tosca.’’

Villaume also will conduct the opera at the Met on Jan. 3, 6, 9, 12, 23 and 28, the Met tweeted — using the hashtag “#CastChange.’’

“Gareth Morrell will conduct 1/18, 2018. The conductor for 1/15 is TBA.The April/May performances will be conducted by Bertrand de Billy,’’ the cultural institution added.

Details involving a new fourth alleged case surfaced late Monday. They involve a then-20-year-old music student who told the New York Times that Levine told him he needed to “understand’’ him sexually to help him with his violin.
