STAMFORD, Conn. — Metro-North has restored service on its New Canaan branch after a train struck a car.
Service was restored at about 7:30 a.m. Thursday, more than two hours after a train carrying equipment but no passengers hit a car in Stamford.
WTNH-TV says Stamford police reported that no one was injured and described the crash as being minor. There is no gate at the crossing.
