An apostle of good government, Mayor Bloomberg yesterday called for more pork and overseas junkets to break the logjams in Washington.

“[Members of Congress] do fund-raisers. But they can’t go with lobbyists. Well, the only time a lot of these guys would get together, they would go on junkets . . . They can’t help but build relationships. Now they don’t talk to one another, the mayor said.”
