President Obama and Mayor Bloomberg may agree on a lot of education issues, but when asked to grade the commander in chief, Hizzoner took a pass.
A week after Obama gave himself a “good, solid B-plus” for his first White House year, Bloomberg, under whose tenure city teachers and schools are given letter grades, wouldn’t go there.
“For a new president, he’s in a very tough time,” he told CNN’s “State of the Union” yesterday, citing a “partisan” Congress, the Afghan war and the economy.
“I’d give him a pretty high grade,” the mayor said.
“This guy is working very hard and trying, and he has got enthusiasm and drive.”
