Mayoral daughters Emma and Georgina Bloomberg stepped up their charitable donations last year, especially to groups that deal with animals.
IRS filings show that the Bloomberg Sisters Foundation gave away $308,000 in 2010, up from $246,000 in 2009.
The beneficiaries included the French Bulldog Rescue Network, the Pure Thoughts animal-rescue group and Tails of Courage.
