Firefighters perform a daring rescue from an “aerial truck” over Niagara Falls yesterday after a man incredibly survived a plunge of at least 180 feet in an apparent suicide bid.
He became only the third person known to have lived after going over the falls without a safety device.
Witnesses said he climbed a railing over the Horseshoe Falls on the New York side. Seriously injured, he surfaced in the lower Niagara River basin and waded to shore.
