Miranda Kerr attends Swarovski Star raising for the 2015 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree.WireImageWinter is fast approaching, but it’s still crop-top weather for model Miranda Kerr as she steps out in a sunny Rockefeller Plaza Monday to unveil the Swarovski star that will top this year’s Christmas tree.
Coming off a chilly stretch, New Yorkers saw temps rise to 66 degrees Monday — and forecasters predict the roller-coaster weather will continue through the rest of the fall.
“It’s not unusual to have wild swings in the temperatures during transition seasons,” said Dave Dombek, a senior meteorologist at AccuWeather.
Monday’s warmth was just 5 degrees from breaking the record for the date set in 1928.
As for the rest of the week, temps will remain mild, with Tuesday at 54 and Wednesday in the low 60s. Thursday will hit 68, but cool off with an inch of rain.
