It’s drug treatment for Miss Russia.
Former Russian beauty queen Anna Malova was back in Manhattan Criminal Court today, promising to put together a treatment plan in hopes of staying out of jail and avoiding indictment — at least for now — on charges she forged Vicodin prescriptions filched from her Upper West Side shrink.
The svelte steppe mama strode into court in the morning — her bare legs and pink raincoat lending her a flamingo-like appearance — and strode quickly out again after her lawyers won her a two-month hiatus.
“We will review the materials the defense presents to determine the appropriate disposition,” said a spokeswoman for the city’s Special Narcotics Prosecutor. Both sides report back to court August 9 for an update.
Malova had won her country’s crown back in 1998. She was arrested a week ago and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and forgery after she filled a prescription for 85 “Vikes.”
Her doctor had reported her prescription pad stolen shortly after Malova left an appointment there Feb. 24.
