The FBI has been called in to help track down an 11-year-old boy from Danville, Pennsylvania, who may be in imminent danger in New York City.

Andray Knighton, 11, left Danville Middle School around 3 p.m. Friday after telling a friend he was moving to New York, Danville Police said in a Facebook post.

His grandmother reported him missing when he didn’t come home from school.

The 4-foot-10-inch boy was last seen wearing black sweat pants, black hooded sweatshirt, multi-colored green sneakers and a tan and gold coat. His hair was braided when he left school.

An officer said Saturday the FBI was working with Danville Police to find Andray.

Anyone who had contact with the boy or has information that may be helpful should contact the Danville Police Department at 570-275-3000 or East Central Emergency Network at 570-784-6300.
