Met owner Fred Wilpon has contributed $2,500 to Mitt Romney’s campaign.

Wilpon declined to comment, but sources say his backing came at the prodding of Jet owner Woody Johnson, Romney’s top New York moneyman.

Romney also has some backing from Yankee President Randy Levine.
