Mo-mentum in South Bx.
Score another good catch for former Mets first baseman Mo Vaughn.
Vaughn’s Omni New York LLC was the winning bidder on mortgages covering 14 of 25 South Bronx apartment buildings that began falling apart after their owner, Ocelot Capital Group, defaulted and stopped maintaining them.
As part of the deal, Omni agreed to invest $1 million in emergency repairs. Ocelot had brought the properties in 2006 and 2007 at the top of market.
