Free to cook another day.
A mobbed-up Staten Island caterer who once yearned for his own reality-TV show was sentenced to six years in Brooklyn federal court yesterday for threatening a rival at gunpoint.
But a sympathetic judge stayed reputed Genovese crime-family associate Frank DiMattina’s time in the big house pending an appeal.
Still, DiMattina, 44, was fined $10,000, must forfeit his five guns, including his wife’s, and remains under house arrest, except for work and church on Sundays.
He was convicted in January of extortion and displaying a gun to terrify a rival caterer into dropping a competing school-lunch bid.
“I feel great. Now I have another day to cook,” a tanned DiMattina declared as left court a free man — for now.
