He’s probably lucky he got busted.

The feds say secret recordings reveal mobsters expressing “amazement” that reputed Gambino crime-family soldier Michael “Roc” Roccaforte avoided prosecution despite years of drug dealing and other crimes.

“In one recording…various co-defendants talk about how, if Roccaforte is not arrested at some point for all that he’s done, then he must be a cooperating witness, because there is no other way to explain the fact that he has not been arrested previously,” according to court papers filed this morning.

Manhattan federal prosecutors disclosed the evidence in a bid to keep Roccaforte, 34, locked up pending trial on racketeering, loansharking and narcotics charges.

They also note that Roccaforte — who was nabbed in last month’s record round-up of more than 100 reputed Mafia members and associates — “does not contest or even address in any way the fact of his mob membership.”

“Further, Roccaforte claimed…that he is unemployed and has been indefinitely — yet he somehow manages to live a comfortable lifestyle while supporting a wife and two children,” court papers say.

Defense lawyer Joel Winograd didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
