Beata Boman’s lawyer wants the accused scarf stealer’s high-society friends to start a letter-writing campaign and beg for sympathy from the Connecticut Superior Court judge set to hear the case.
The ex-model is charged with pilfering an $11,000 fur-lined scarf from a Connecticut boutique. She claims to have been preoccupied with a phone call from a friend about to undergo brain surgery.
The letters would “give the court an idea of who she is personally and professionally,” said lawyer Mark Sherman.
