A Connecticut mom was fatally shot while inside her home Tuesday night when bullets blasted through the window, police said.

The 37-year-old victim, identified by family as Sujata Lee Edwards, was struck just before 8 p.m. as she was looking out the window of her Bridgeport home watching her 19-year-old son get into a car, WABC reported.

Edwards’ mother was in the room at the time and witnessed her daughter get shot, the news outlet reported.

A spokeswoman for the Bridgeport Police Department told The Post someone fired shots at the William Street duplex home from the outside.

Police found Edwards on the second floor of the home with gunshot wounds to her torso, the spokeswoman said.

They began CPR on the victim and continued to assist medics until Edwards was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Relatives told WABC that Edwards’ son’s ex-girlfriend came to the house earlier in the day, sparking a melee involving as many as 20 people in the street.

The ex-girlfriend threatened, “I’ll be back,” in a text, according to the news outlet.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made.

The family has lived at the Bridgeport home for three decades.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Bridgeport Police Tips Line at 203-576-TIPS.
