The mother of a toddler who drowned Saturday in Prospect Park spent Sunday crying and clutching her beloved child’s clothes.

Yulduz Kurbonova was inconsolable over the shocking death of her 2-year-old daughter, Ruhshona, whose body was pulled from the Brooklyn park’s lake hours after the girl wandered off from a family outing.

“The mother is crying, holding the baby’s clothes,” said Zada Bacaj, 60, superintendent of the Bensonhurst building where Kurbonova lives. “I didn’t talk to her because she was just crying and crying.”

Neighbors said they had been phoning the mother to pay their condolences but no one was answering.

Cops were still investigating the accident, which began when the girl and her 3-year-old male cousin walked away during a cookout near the Prospect Park Boathouse. The boy was unharmed. Ruhshona’s body was found in the lake after a five-hour search.

“No parent should ever have to bury a child,” Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams said in a statement.
