The distraught mom of the Long Island Stop & Shop shooting suspect cried to The Post on Tuesday when asked about her alleged killer son.

“That’s my baby!’’ said Wanda Wilson, 53, sobbing.

Wilson’s son, Gabriel deWitt Wilson, 31, is wanted in connection with a late-morning shooting that left a 49-year-old worker dead and two other people wounded at the grocery store on Cherry Valley Avenue in West Hempstead.

Wilson’s mother declined further comment to The Post.

Police said they believe the suspect, a current or former worker at the grocery store, used a small handgun to shoot his three victims in the managers’ office at the store — which had about 100 people inside at the time.

Cops have launched a widespread manhunt — which includes officers checking Nassau County buses to see if the suspect may have hopped on one to escape, law enforcement sources told The Post.
