The mother of a teenage boy who was shot in the back while ice skating in Bryant Park plans to sue park operators for failing to provide adequate security.

“I’m upset with [the shooter], but I’m also upset with the security at Bryant Park. It’s negligence on their part to allow someone to enter the rink with a gun,” said Arislenis Martinez, 44, whose 14-year-old son Adonis Mera was shot on Saturday night.

“They need more security or better rules. How was he allowed to go in with a gun?” she added.

The boy was caught in the line of fire after suspect Corey Dunton allegedly tried to gun down Javier Contreras, 20, over an expensive coat.

A spokesman for the Bryant Park Corporation said 20 security guards were working Saturday.

A spokesman for the city Parks Department declined to comment.
