A Queens mom claims her developmentally disabled daughter was left behind on a school bus for three hours.
Maria Magdalena Navarrete put her wheelchair-bound child, 13, on the bus on Sept. 25. But the girl, who suffers from Rett Syndrome, never arrived at IS 5 in Elmhust because employees failed to check the vehicle, her mom charges in the Brooklyn Supreme Court suit against bus company First Steps Transportation Inc. and the Department of Education.
First Steps did not return messages. The DOE said, “All allegations will be investigated.”
