They serenaded ‘em with sweet songs, draped ‘em with satin sashes, wooed ‘em with red roses and crowned ‘em with sparkling coronets!

Moms ruled the day when PS 139 held a Mom’s Day celebration hosted by Councilman Eugene Mathieu (D-Flatbush), May 2.

The festive occasion had students feteing their mothers with musical performances and glowing words at the Flatbush school on Rugby Road, off Cortelyou Road.

The raffle-type event gave out tickets to moms at the door, and then called out their number. The lucky ones received the finery, plus a certificate of appreciation for all that they do to make their young ‘uns happy and healthy!
