State Sen. Hiram Monserrate is rarin’ to put a ring on his girlfriend’s finger now that he’s been acquitted of putting a hurt on her pretty face — and she is set to say, “I do.”

Monserrate will ask Karla Giraldo to marry him whenever a Queen judge removes a no-contact order that went into effect after his December 2008 arrest for allegedly slashing her face with a broken glass, said his lawyer, Joseph Tacopina.

“He has a ring for her,” said Tacopina.

Giraldo has “indicated she wants to be with him and marry him,” the lawyer said.

Monserrate was acquitted Thursday of all slashing-related charges, and convicted only of a misdemeanor assault count.

Giraldo “started squeaking and squealing and laughing, and was very happy” after her lawyer Glenn Marshall informed her of Tacopina’s remarks, Marshall said.

“She wants nothing more than to have that order of protection lifted,” Marshall said.
