Monster Energy says there’s nothing illegal about selling a caffeinated drink.

In a Manhattan Supreme Court filing Monday, Monster says state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is overreaching in his probe of the company’s marketing and asks for it to be blocked.

The AG claims Monster promotes mixing with alcohol and advertises to children, but Monster notes 10 billion cans have been “safely consumed.”
