The popular bar and motel has long irritated locals who grouse that the once-tranquil fishing village has become inundated with soused Manhattanites during the summer season.

Local pols have taken swift action in response to complaints, which reached a fever pitch over the chaotic Fourth of July weekend: Bars and businesses that run afoul of local code ordinances have been papered over with summonses and enforcement has been rigid.
