Students at the Art Students League in Midtown are creating eight monumental sculptures that will grace the city’s riverfront for a year.

Each of the seven artists from the art school is working on an individual piece. An eighth sculpture will be a collaboration.

The sculptures will be installed along the Hudson River from 59th to 72nd streets in June. They range from abstract pieces to a life-size bronze of a girl and her dog.

The public art project is a partnership with the Parks Department.
