The federal prosecutor who recently slapped several city and state lawmakers with corruption charges said last night that more arrests of politicians are on the way.

US Attorney Preet Bharara warned during an interview on “Capital Tonight that “you can expect more cases to come, because there is a lot more corruption that has not yet been brought to light.”

“We investigate cases very aggressively, and we are going to continue to do that, whether the Legislature is in session or not,” he added.In April, Bharara charged state Sen. Malcolm Smith, Assemblyman Eric Stevenson and City Councilman Dan Halloran with bribery.
