More than 50,000 runners will take to the streets on Sunday to race in the annual New York City Marathon.

A million-plus spectators are expected to line the 26.2-mile course for the New York Road Runners event, which kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on the Staten Island side of the Verrazano Bridge and winds its way through Brooklyn, Queens and The Bronx before finishing near Tavern on the Green in Central Park.
