A motorcyclist is in critical condition after he was struck by a pick-up truck in Williamsburg early Friday, cops said.

The 28-year-old rider was traveling eastbound on Metropolitan Avenue near Scott Avenue in Brooklyn just before 7 a.m. when he attempted to pass the truck, which was traveling in the same direction, lost control and was hit, police said.

The driver of the pick-up truck, a 34-year-old man, remained at the scene.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital with trauma to the head.
