A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed Sunday when he ran into the back of a box truck in Staten Island, authorities said.

The man was riding along West Service Road near Victory Blvd in Travis when he collided with the truck just after 11 a.m.

The injured motorcyclist was taken to Staten Island University Hospital South where he died. His identity has not been released.

The truck driver didn’t stop and is still being sought, officials said. It was unknown if he realized what happened.
