A motorcyclist died in the Bronx on Saturday when he slammed his bike into a car, police said.
Sheldon Sampson of Mount Vernon was riding his BMW bike north on the Bruckner Expressway near Tremont Avenue around 2:09 a.m. when he rear-ended a 1999 Nissan Altima.
Sampson, 35, was catapulted from the bike and landed on a guardrail, said cops. He was declared dead at the scene.
The 49-year-old driver of the Nissan remained at the scene.
The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
