The Museum of the Moving Image’s founding director will retire at the end of February, the Queens institution announced yesterday.
Rochelle Slovin has directed the museum since its opening in 1988, and oversaw a $67 million renovation that recently doubled its size.
The redesigned facility, in Astoria, is to reopen Jan. 15 with current Senior Deputy Director Carl Goodman in charge.
