The MTA bus that lost control and dangled precariously off a Bronx overpass — injuring at least eight people — was removed from the highway early Friday, looking smashed-up from the impact with the roadway, video shows.

The driver of the Bx35 bus was trying to turn left off University Avenue onto a ramp to the Washington Bridge around 11:10 p.m. Thursday when he veered off track, causing the vehicle to crash off the elevated road.

The front of the bus landed flat onto part of Cross Bronx Expressway on its windshield, while the rear portion remained grounded on University Avenue.

The bus was completely removed from the expressway Friday morning, heavily damaged in the front, with the windshields blown out. Blood could be seen on the dashboard.

The rest of the accordion-style bus appeared unaffected.
