An MTA worker was punched in the face by a stranger who accused the victim of staring at him inside a Bronx subway station, police said.

The violent daytime attack occurred back on Dec. 8, but the NYPD on Wednesday released surveillance video of the still-at-large suspect and asked the public’s help in identifying him.

Around 10:30 am, the 55-year-old MTA employee was cleaning the mezzanine area of the Cypress Avenue station on the 6 train line when the man approached him, according to the police.

“What are you looking at?” the goon seethed at the worker, according to law enforcement sources.

He then punched the subway cleaner in the face, before taking off running from the station.

Surveillance video shows the unidentified man talking on a cellphone before the assault, with the unsuspecting MTA worker seen in the background sweeping the subway platform.
