MTA clears air
The MTA is releasing the results of an exhaustive study of the air quality around the Second Avenue Subway today — and it says blasting has not caused a rise in dangerous pollution levels in the area.
The independent study — conducted by Parsons Brinckerhoff and reviewed by the US Environmental Protection Agency — found that dangerous pollutants in the air were from other sources, like traffic.
