Here’s some relief for No. 7 riders.

There will be three fewer weekends during which service between Queensboro Plaza and Grand Central will be suspended, the MTA said.

Although it’s unclear when those weekends will be, the move is a glimmer of hope after five weekends of inconvenience.

The delays began on the weekend of Jan. 29 to Feb. 1 as the MTA launched a project involving replacement of tracks on a curve near the Hunters Point station.

Straphangers who would normally board the subway at Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue, Hunters Point Avenue or 45th Road-Court House Square had to instead rely on shuttle buses to Queensboro Plaza, where they could catch the Q to Times Square.

The bad news: beginning in the fall, the MTA will began another project further east on the line, at 111th Street.
