A 64-year-old MTA worker with more than a decade on the job was slashed across his neck by a crazed, drunken man walking on Brooklyn subway tracks late Monday, cops and sources said.
The MTA power distribution manager was sitting outside a break house within the tunnel on the southbound No. 3 line near Nostrand Avenue in Crown Heights around 10:40 p.m. when he spotted the allegedly intoxicated man strolling on the roadbed, authorities and sources said.

The suspect lashed out when the worker asked him to leave, sources said. William MillerThe worker repeatedly asked the intruder to get off the tracks, prompting the unhinged man to cut him on his neck with a “sharp object,” cops and sources said.
The victim – who has been on the job for about 11 years, according to the MTA – was taken to the Kings County Hospital Center, where he’s listed in stable condition.
“I spoke to him earlier this morning. He was in stable condition,” NYC Transit President Demitrius Crichlow told The Post. “Seems to be in pretty good spirits. Something like this should not happen for our employees.

Power was briefly cut off for oncoming trains during the late-night violent ordeal, sources said.
Meanwhile, the attacker – described as a man with a dark complexion and slim build, last seen wearing a black and white shirt – ran off through the tunnel and had not been caught by Tuesday morning, cops said.
