Several pedestrians — including children — were struck by an out-of-control car on Long Island on Monday, according to reports.
A blue BMW compact sedan partially jumped a curb and struck a crowd of people about 4 p.m. near South Long Beach Avenue and West Merrick Road in Freeport, according to CBSNewYork.
One of the children sustained a serious head injury and was airlifted to a nearby hospital.
Photos from the scene show the BMW with a smashed windshield.
The Nassau County Police Department, who is assisting Freeport police, couldn’t immediately provide details on the incident.
