Museum scammer
A Brooklyn federal judge sentenced a former payroll manager of the Brooklyn Museum with three years in prison yesterday for embezzling more than $600,000 from the institution.
Dwight Newton, 40, pleaded guilty in December to stealing the cash by creating three phantom employees and having their paychecks deposited into his account over a two-year period.
