A rash of overdoses, likely caused by K2 or synthetic marijuana, in New Haven, Connecticut, caused officials to release a public health alert, a report said.

At least four people needed to be resuscitated in the span of just one hour on Thursday afternoon, including a 36-year-old woman, according to NBC Connecticut.

“There is serious spike in Street Drug ingestion and overdoses during the past hour that have resulted in DEATH,” an emergency alert read.

“Using any Street drugs CAN and MAY RESULT IN DEATH. PLEASE pass this information to those around you.”

The victims were found just blocks away from each other.

It was unclear Thursday evening what the drug was but officials suspect it may be a bad batch of K2 or “spice mix.”

Editor’s note: Officials initially said that one of the overdose victims had died. This story has been updated to reflect that none of the overdoses was fatal.
