Nancy Shevell’s long and winding road on the MTA board — which included a penchant for skipping meetings to party with former Beatle and now hubby Paul McCartney — has come to an end.

The trucking heiress announced her resignation yesterday.

“In my 30-year professional career, this has been the highlight,” said Shevell, whose term expired in June.
