City Hall, determined to make New Yorkers eat fruits and veggies, wants to use zoning laws and tax incentives to encourage more supermarkets. The proposal comes with the micromanaging that Mayor Bloomberg relishes. As the Times reports, stores must display signs with a “Fresh” logo designed by City Hall and the words “This store sells fresh food.”
Let me get this straight: We need a government-mandated sign to tell us a food store sells food.
