Can’t find your way around the American Museum of Natural History? There’s an app for that.

The Upper West Side museum is set to launch its own iPhone app named Explorer, a large-scale program designed as a “personal GPS” to help visitors navigate exhibits.

The program also is expected to offer customizable tours.

On top of that, Explorer will allow users to immediately post what they’re viewing to Twitter and Facebook.
