Two paintings stolen from the National Museum in Warsaw, Poland, by the Nazis during World War II were seized last week in New York by the feds.

Manhattan federal prosecutors also filed court papers aimed at legally recovering the paintings, “Off to the Hunt” and “The Hunt,” by 19th-century Polish artist Julian Falat, with the hope of returning them to Poland.
