Neighbors IHOPing mad
It’s the pancake house from hell.
Residents who live above a new IHOP on East 14th Street say their lives have been ruined by clouds of noxious fumes belched from the restaurant’s noisy ventilation fans that run 24 hours a day.
The exhaust billowing into the apartments in a one-story extension behind the restaurant reeks of rancid bacon grease, the angry victims complain.
“It’s really more of a burnyish kind of overcooked-grease smell,” said resident Lucy Wollin.
IHOP officials said they are attempting to fix the problem.
