The new head of the ­Civilian Complaint Review Board wants the police-oversight agency to stop considering complainants’ arrest records when weighing rulings — but critics argue the plan reeks of “bias against police officers.”

The CCRB currently looks at the rap sheets of those who file complaints against cops — and acting chairwoman Deborah ­Archer has said the practice should be ended.

But doing so would create a double standard that could encourage frivolous complaints, Captains Endowment Association president Roy Richter said.

“A complainant with prior arrests for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest should be considered to have an anti-police disposition that turns every police encounter negative,” he said.
