Gov. Cuomo on Wednesday signed into law a measure requiring the city’s Department of Education to post school cafeteria-inspection reports online.

“Parents deserve to be sure that the food their children eat at school is prepared safety and in a sanitary kitchen,” Cuomo said.

“This common-sense measure provides transparency and, hopefully, peace of mind.”

The new was law triggered by a probe by state Sen. Jeff Klein (D-Bronx).

“Investigations . . . found conditions like rat and mouse droppings, flies and other insects in addition to lesser violations like food storage temperatures and hand washing,” Klein said.
