An underground water pipe burst on the Upper West Side yesterday, leaving scores of residents without water for hours in the summer heat just days after a much larger break in The Bronx.
The city shut off five mains to quell the gushing from a three-foot hole that opened at 32 W. 82nd St. Water to nearby homes along Central Park West and West 82nd Street was temporarily cut off.
