A trip to the happiest place on earth ended in tragedy for a New York family.

A 3-year-old boy got separated from his parents Tuesday night at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in Orlando, Fla., and was later found unresponsive in a pool, Orange County sheriff’s deputies said.

He was pronounced dead shortly after 8 p.m.
