Newark ID sold to cabby
The murdered Queens man whose ID was used by a Newark Airport security worker for 20 years sold it to a cabby three weeks before he was gunned down, the NYPD said yesterday.
Peter “Bimbo” Olumuyia Oyewole, 55, of Elizabeth, NJ, used the dead man’s ID to rise up the ranks in the airport’s security force.
Oyewole bought Jerry Thomas’ ID from a Nigerian driver weeks before Thomas was found shot dead in July 1992.
Federal officials told Congress yesterday that they can’t rule out the possibility other airport employees are working under assumed identities.
